The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) intends to implement a certification system on the Avalanche platform in India to prevent counterfeiting.

IEEE is the largest professional organization in the world in its field, with around 75,000 members in India, making it the second-largest in terms of membership after the United States. After the launch of this system, IEEE will provide interns and users in India with credentials, ensuring instant and secure verification of certificate authenticity.

To implement the certificate issuance project on the blockchain platform, the Institute plans to use the LegitDoc system developed by Zupple Labs. The choice of Avalanche C-Chain is due to its compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). However, Neil Martis, co-founder of Zupple Labs, also stated that the company will explore other blockchains.

Avalanche's compatibility with EVM facilitates the development and deployment of various applications, including credential registries and identity management.said Devika Mittal, head of the Indian division of Avalanche.

In August, it was announced that the Indian army would implement blockchain technology to improve communication between its units.
