Scalability issues in the blockchain world have led to the emergence of second-tier solutions aimed at increasing transaction speed and reducing costs. User Lady of Crypto expressed the opinion that in 2024, such solutions will become more profitable.
Initially, her attention was drawn to the zkEVM L2 Linea solution developed by Consensys, the company behind the Metamask crypto wallet. She emphasized that, thanks to partnerships with major traditional financial players like Visa, Mastercard, and Paypal, Linea is ready for widespread adoption. This project has the potential to become a leading second-tier platform, leveraging the extensive user base of Metamask, which boasts 100 million users and over 17,000 connected dApps.
Lady of Crypto also highlighted the second-tier Coinbase solution called Base, noting the strong connections this exchange has with novice cryptocurrency users as a key advantage. The Base network has shown significant growth, reaching 1.88 million transactions in a single day on September 14th, surpassing the combined transaction volume of Arbitrum and Optimism.
Expressing enthusiasm for Arbitrum, Lady of Crypto emphasized its substantial growth. As a hub for decentralized finance (DeFi) projects and one of the fastest-growing cryptocurrency networks, Arbitrum is a significant player in the second-tier solutions competition. Currently, Arbitrum holds the fourth position with a total locked value of $2.4 billion.
Manta, a second-tier solution, stands out by storing transaction data at the Celestia level rather than on Ethereum, providing enhanced speed and scalability. Lady of Crypto noted the rapid user adoption of Manta, especially in anticipation of an upcoming token distribution.
Concluding her list, Lady of Crypto mentioned Immutable X, a blockchain solution specifically designed for gaming. She anticipates significant growth in the crypto gaming sector in 2024 and believes that Immutable X, offering zero gas fees, zk rollup technology, and high TPS, could become the primary choice for Web3 game developers.
