The decentralized exchange PancakeSwap has unveiled a gaming marketplace. This new platform empowers developers to construct, release, and continually enhance games infused with web3 features, including cryptocurrencies and NFTs.
At the initial rollout, PancakeSwap is set to introduce two games on this platform: "Pancake Protectors," which was developed through a collaboration with the GameFi platform Mobox, and "Pancake Mayor," created in partnership with the GameFi protocol Binary X. According to PancakeSwap's statement, Pancake Protectors, which launched in May 2023, garnered a daily user base of over 25,000 active players.
The platform extends its support to nine different blockchains, which encompass Ethereum, Polygon zkEVM, Base, BNB Chain, OpenBNB, zkSync Era, Arbitrum One, Linea, and Aptos.
PancakeSwap boasts a substantial market share of nearly 15% within the realm of decentralized exchanges (DEXs), positioning itself as the second-largest DEX, trailing behind Uniswap, as reported by The Block's data dashboard. In the month of October, it recorded an impressive spot trading volume of $5.97 billion.
