Treasure DAO has decided to migrate from the Arbitrum blockchain to ZKsync, based on community voting results.
Voting on Migration
On Monday, Treasure DAO announced the results of a community vote, where 99.5% of participants supported the move to the ZKsync ecosystem. The proposal, launched on September 17, plans to use ZKsync's advanced technology for Treasure's layer two (L2) solution.
Developing New Solutions
To facilitate this migration, Treasure DAO is working on launching a public testnet called 'Topaz.' This testnet will allow developers and players to explore and build within the new ecosystem. Treasure plans to launch the mainnet in the next 1.5 to 2 months. Treasure's core products, such as the app, marketplace, and MagicSwap, will be upgraded to integrate with ZKsync technology. The DAO is also collaborating with over ten games to ensure a smooth transition.
Advantages of ZKsync
Reports indicate that the proposal followed extensive internal discussions, reflecting the organization's long-term vision. Advocates for migration argue that ZKsync better aligns with Treasure's goals. Co-founder Karel Vuong noted that ZKsync's technology better supports the mission to create a decentralized gaming ecosystem for mass adoption. In the coming weeks, Treasure DAO plans to host community discussions to delve deeper into the transition.
Treasure DAO's transition to ZKsync aims to provide enhanced security and scalability, essential components for a thriving gaming ecosystem.
