Treasure DAO, a decentralized gaming ecosystem, announced its plan to migrate from Arbitrum blockchain to ZKsync following community voting results.
Transition to ZKsync
Last week, Treasure DAO shared that 99.5% of participants voted in favor of the transition to the ZKsync ecosystem. The plan is to launch a Layer 2 solution using ZKsync's advanced technology stack. Treasure DAO stated, 'Treasure will be bringing the decentralized game console to the Elastic Chain.'
Future Plans
To facilitate the migration, Treasure DAO is working on launching a public testnet named 'Topaz'. This will allow developers and players to explore and build in the new ecosystem. Treasure plans to launch the mainnet within the next 1.5 to 2 months. Core products will be upgraded to integrate with ZKsync’s technology, including enhancements to their app, marketplace, and MagicSwap, as well as their universal accounts system, Treasure Connect. The DAO is collaborating with over ten games to ensure a seamless transition.
Why ZKsync?
The proposal followed extensive internal discussions. Co-founder Karel Vuong noted that ZKsync technology better supports the DAO's mission of creating a decentralized gaming ecosystem ready for mass adoption. The focus on enhanced security and scalability aligns with the needs for a successful gaming environment. In the coming weeks, Treasure DAO plans community calls to explore transition details.
The planned migration of Treasure DAO to the ZKsync ecosystem opens new horizons for decentralized gaming seeking wide recognition and efficiency.
