The Ctrl wallet is migrating its XDEFI tokens to CTRL as part of a rebranding and expansion of cryptocurrency usability.
Rebranding and Transition to CTRL
The Ctrl wallet has recently undergone a rebranding. Previously known as the XDEFI wallet, the brand has changed its name to Ctrl. The main aim of this transition is to go beyond a DeFi-focused experience and offer a unique service for all cryptocurrency enthusiasts. Enhancing simplicity and usability of cryptocurrency transactions has been one of the key goals of this rebranding.
XDEFI to CTRL Migration Process
The migration of XDEFI to CTRL will commence on October 17, when the migration portal opens. Users will be able to migrate their XDEFI tokens to CTRL free of charge until December 31, eliminating any gas fees. Additionally, a CTRL-ETH pool will be established on Uniswap to maintain price stability between XDEFI and CTRL. Note that all staking rewards for XDEFI will cease.
Upcoming Exchange Changes
On October 22, exchanges like Gate.io, KuCoin, and Huobi Global will halt all XDEFI trading and deposits. CTRL token trading will start on these platforms on October 23. Users holding XDEFI on these exchanges do not need to take any action, as the migration process will be handled automatically. Ctrl wallet ensures the process is secure and straightforward, covering all transaction fees.
The adoption and use of CTRL tokens may affect their value and overall market availability. A gradual decrease in the token supply is expected, which might lead to an increase in price. Ctrl wallet remains committed to facilitating a smooth transition for its users.
