Tim Grant and his career
Prior to joining Galaxy Digital, Tim was the CEO of SIX Digital Exchange (SDX), the SIX Group's Swiss regulated digital asset exchange. It helped to spur SDX's efforts to launch the first fully regulated institutional digital asset exchange and CSD.
Prior to managing SDX, Tim worked as the founder and CEO of DrumG Technologies and an enterprise registry-based distributed applications operator. While at DrumG Technologies, Tim helped to build the Titanium Network, a decentralized, anonymous and cryptographically secure OTC consensus trading and valuation solution for investment banks. It includes Credit Suisse as the network's founding institution. Tim also served as CEO of the R3 Laboratory and Research Center. It has focused on bringing together global financial institutions, technology companies, regulators and central banks to explore new technologies. In this role, Tim managed sales, investor and customer relations for all R3 products and services. Prior to that, Tim was managing director of UBS O'Connor, a $6.5 billion multi-strategy hedge fund. He was Head of Quantitative Research and Head of Technology. Tim began his career at UBS AG where he eventually served as Managing Director. He reported directly to the Group Executive Board during the global financial crisis and managed the UBS Delta Americas business at UBS Investment Bank. Tim holds an MA in Materials Science and Metallurgy from Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge and an MA in Financial Engineering from Birkbeck College, University of London.
