The team of the American company Western Union noted that it has a desire to infiltrate the development of these services, aimed at working with finance, insurance and banks.

The first step in working with cryptocurrencies - to apply for the registration of unique trademarks. Trademark specialist Mike Kondoudis announced this on his Twitter.

Kondoudis also noted the possibilities that trademark registration provides:

  • Operations for the exchange of virtual digital currency.
  • Trade in cryptocurrencies and other goods.
  • Issue of own tokens.

Western Union has been going to add cryptocurrency to its system since 2018. This was stated by the president of the company, Odilon Almeida.

Almeida noted that for Western Union, digital assets are key to the long term. After all, the service is a leader in the field of money transfers and has deep knowledge in the field of finance.
