STEPN, known for creating the Move to Earn app, has expanded its arsenal with an early version of a strategy game called Gas Hero. While in beta testing and only accessible via browser for now, the game, developed by Find Satoshi Lab, gives users the ability to log in via email. While creating a wallet with an encrypted backup that can be saved to Google or Apple.

Gas Hero is a social strategy game where players form squads of heroes, sending them into battles to acquire power, collect NFTs and earn the GMT token, which is the backbone of the Find Satoshi Lab ecosystem. Find Satoshi Lab's COO, Shiti Magani, notes that Gas Hero is designed to offer a social experience where players can collect NFTs and compete for fame and fortune. He emphasises that the game requires multiple strategies.

Unlike STEPN, which is deployed on various blockchains, Gas Hero uses the Polygon network and a bridged version of the GMT token, representing Find Satoshi Lab's attempt to expand its audience and be multilateral. However, in the beta, players have access to training, but to fully participate in the game and start earning GMT, you need to purchase the $300 NFT. This aspect is likely to undergo changes before the game gets approval in the app shop, where NFTs should be an optional, rather than mandatory, feature.
