Datagram has launched Alpha Testnet, enabling users to participate in the validation of decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN).
Alpha Testnet Features
The Alpha Testnet operates on its own Layer 1 chain based on Avalanche. Participants can install node software that checks report status and availability four times daily. Each successful check-in earns points that will be converted into $DGRAM tokens during the planned TGE in Q3 2025. Up to 2.25% of the total token supply will be allocated to Alpha Testnet participants.
Participant Roles in the Testnet
Operating a node in the Datagram network is open to anyone and does not require blockchain-specific expertise. Node operators directly support the network's performance and earn token-based rewards based on uptime. An important aspect is the referral system, through which participants can earn bonuses for attracting new users, fostering organic growth of the network.
Key Advantages of Datagram
Datagram’s infrastructure is designed to enhance transparency and reduce reliance on central intermediaries. It aims to address issues related to the fragility and centralization of the current internet while allowing participants to measure their contributions. Unlike traditional models, Datagram offers a unique solution for coordinating and processing requests in DePIN.
The launch of Datagram's Alpha Testnet opens new opportunities for participants seeking to create and support decentralized infrastructures. The testnet not only provides a chance to earn tokens but also to actively participate in the development of a new era of internet connectivity.
