On November 14, 2024, the successful launch of the $NS token by SuiNS marked a continued success during the Sui crypto airdrop season.
The SuiNS Airdrop
To participate in the SuiNS airdrop, one needed to have a SuiNS name, which makes a 60-digit crypto wallet address human-readable. The snapshot for the airdrop was taken before June 2024. For example, some users received 330 $NS for a 7-character name. Such airdrops reached up to $354,000 value when the $NS token peaked at $3.64.
$NS Token Distribution
Out of the 500 million $NS tokens, 10% went to active community members. The remainder was distributed as follows: Treasury — 57%, core contributors and early backers — 28%, governance rewards — 5%. $NS allows holders to vote, controlling 22% of the treasury.
What's Next for Sui
