On July 21, Blue Origin announced the crew for its upcoming New Shepard NS-34 mission, which includes Justin Sun. The team also features individuals like meteorologist J.D. Russell, venture capitalist Arvi Bahal, Gökhan Erdem, Deborah Martorell, and Lionel Pitchford.
Funds Dedicated to Space Education
Sun secured his seat back in 2021 with a $28 million bid, which was allocated to 19 space education programs. These initiatives include scholarships for future astronauts and fellowships for women in aerospace.

Focusing on the significance of his auction win, Sun stated, "In 2021, I bid $28M for a seat on Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket—funds that went to Blue Origin’s foundation to support 19 space-based charities inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders."
