A Sphere spokesperson emphasized that there was never an agreement to promote Dogwifhat. 'We never had an agreement with Dogwifhat, and our agency only had a very preliminary meeting early last year,' the representative said. 'There were and are no plans for Dogwifhat to be featured on Exosphere, and we regret their use of our name for fraudulent purposes.'
History of Dogwifhat's Marketing Campaign
In March 2024, a group of organizers raised nearly $700,000 from WIF supporters to fund a marketing campaign that intended to feature Dogwifhat on the Sphere's giant LED screen. The campaign helped WIF reach an all-time high of $4.83. However, over time, skepticism grew among investors, with many requesting refunds due to the lack of visible progress.

This week, the official Dogwifhat X account reignited speculation by posting: 'Officially confirmed. Viva hat vegas.' The post was later edited to remove the words 'officially confirmed,' but retained the image of the money dog mascot holding a phone with 'Q1 2025,' hinting at a future ad. 'Dates coming as soon as we’re allowed to share,' the post read.
