Adsgram, a new traffic monetization tool, is launching in the Telegram messenger to give developers the opportunity to earn Toncoin (TON) by placing ads in their mini-apps.

The TON community has officially introduced Adsgram, a new third-party platform on Telegram that allows developers to connect their mini-apps – or bots – to the advertising system and earn Toncoin (TON) for displaying ads.

The platform is different from Telegram Ads – Telegram's official advertising platform for channel owners, launched in March.

On June 25, the TON community announced that Adsgram offers various ad formats, including 15-second video ads, static banners, and an upcoming channel subscription feature.

The Adsgram advertising system supports basic advertising payment models such as cost per thousand impressions (CPM) and cost per mille. It tracks click-through rates, conversions, and ad fill rates.

TON Mini-App Developers Can Earn Up to $16 per CPM in Toncoin

According to a presentation published on the official Adsgram channel, the platform's network was already accounting for up to 8 million views per day by May 2024.

At launch, the network includes mini-apps such as Gamee, Fonton Fantasy Football, and others, with the main traffic coming from countries such as Nigeria, Bangladesh, Germany, and other countries.

Among the Adsgram advertisers are "several tier-one exchanges," games and services on TON, as well as gambling with and without TON, according to the presentation. Developers are offered CPMs ranging from 0.5 TON ($3.8) to 2 TON ($16), depending on the audience.

Adsgram to Improve Monetization in the GameFi Sector on Telegram

According to Adsgram co-founder Vadim Sterlin, the new advertising platform aims to solve the monetization problem in the gaming finance (GameFi) sector on Telegram and in the TON ecosystem.

"As the owner of a major game in the Telegram ecosystem — Fantongamebot — I faced a big problem monetizing our game," Sterlin wrote on the Adsgram channel in February. At that time, there was no opportunity for publishers to earn on advertising other than through direct ad sales, he noted.

The official launch of Adsgram came a few months after the platform received a $50,000 grant from the TON Foundation to create its minimum viable product.

In early April, Adsgram launched its first ads through an alpha test with the Fanton Fantasy Football game, founded by Sterlin, or Fantongamebot.

The launch of Adsgram occurred amid a massive growth in activity within the TON ecosystem, with the total value of locked assets in various TON projects increasing by at least 4500% since the beginning of 2024.

The native cryptocurrency of TON, Toncoin, has also reached new peaks in recent months, rising to $8.17 on June 14.
