The Worldcoin rebranding was announced at the 'A New World' event in San Francisco. Key updates were presented by Tools for Humanity CEO Alex Blania and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. The new strategy focuses on expanding its identity technology from the current 7 million verified users to 700 million and more.

The project showcased a new version of its Orb iris-scanning device, featuring the latest Nvidia Jetson chipset, which offers improved AI performance using fewer components. This tool will be used in the company's self-service kiosks to scale identity verification services. The company is also developing ways to connect to the network without iris scans using NFC-enabled passports.

Countering Deepfakes and Enhancing User Experience

World is actively countering deepfakes and enhancing digital identity verification by integrating its technology into popular platforms such as FaceTime, WhatsApp, and Zoom. The company is also updating its mobile app to support third-party mini apps, expanding the range of services within its ecosystem.
