Supervillain Labs, in collaboration with investor Aptos Labs, plans to launch new Web3 games, starting with their first game, Supervillain Idle RPG. This partnership aims to create mobile games that will enhance the gaming experience for users worldwide, using the Aptos blockchain to ensure minimal latency and maximum throughput. Supervillain Labs aims to create a mass Web3 mobile game ecosystem that will include interconnected games adapted for mobile devices.
The company intends to use blockchain not only to create a compatible game ecosystem but also to reward creators of user-generated content and conduct targeted marketing based on in-game data. Special attention is given to integrating blockchain in a way that it is not mandatory but serves as an enhancement to the gameplay, making the transition to blockchain as smooth and natural for players as possible.
The first game by Supervillain, Idle RPG, will feature Aptos NFT projects such as Aptos Monkeys, Aptomingos, and Bruh Bears, where players can earn unique NFTs based on their personality type. Game assets will be stored on the Aptos blockchain, ensuring compatibility with future Supervillain releases.
Supervillain Labs has received investment from Aptos Labs, and collaboration with other projects in the Aptos ecosystem will lead to the creation of original games. Mo Sheikh, CEO of Aptos Labs, and Lucas Ko, CEO of Supervillain Labs, expressed confidence that their joint efforts will change the gaming landscape, turning Web3 games from a secondary element into a main competitor in the traditional gaming industry.
A demo version of the game Supervillain: Idle RPG will be available on Aptos at the end of February, and collaboration with Intella X, the Web3 division of gaming giant Neowiz, will help bring the best games to life. Aptos Labs, having attracted more than $400 million from investors such as A16z and Binance Labs, aims to build a future where games become a means of exchanging social and economic values.
