Cardano Node 9.0 will be launched in June. This highly anticipated update will be a crucial step in preparing the blockchain platform for the Chang fork. The announcement was made by the founder of Cardano, Charles Hoskinson, on the X platform. Hoskinson noted that the hard fork could occur after 70% of staking pool operators (SPOs) install the new node. This significant event will bring Cardano into the Voltaire era, marking the full decentralization of the network — a milestone for the entire blockchain industry. Hoskinson called it the most important event in the history of Cardano.

The founder elaborated on the development journey over the past decade, comparing the creation of Cardano to building a nation. He expressed pride in the community and optimism for the future, emphasizing that Cardano brings hope to the industry and the world. Hoskinson urged all participants to make a significant impact in the next decade. Three days ago, he commented on the discrepancy between media perception and Cardano's real progress, criticizing crypto media for not recognizing the network's achievements.

Additionally, Hoskinson conducted a poll asking whether the Cardano Treasury should fund a nonprofit media DAO, aimed at fair coverage of cryptocurrency news across the industry. The poll gathered over 11,000 votes, with nearly 70% in favor of the proposal.
