The cryptocurrency market is constantly evolving, offering new ways to earn and invest. In February 2024, investors' attention was drawn to the new experimental token standard ERC-404, which combines the capabilities of ERC-20 and ERC-721. This hybrid standard allows for the acquisition of an NFT tied to the token upon purchase, adding extra value to the cryptocurrency due to the rarity of the digital item. However, when the token is sold, the associated NFT is destroyed, opening a new segment in the cryptocurrency market and potentially increasing NFT liquidity.

The flagship token of this standard, Pandora, launched at the beginning of February 2024, is already showing record price growth. In the ERC-404 category, 18 assets are tracked with a total capitalization of $140.41 million and a daily trading volume of $19 million. Pandora leads in both capitalization and trading volume, demonstrating significant investor interest.

In second place in capitalization is the DeFrogs token, and in third place is the cryptocurrency Rug. Both assets also attract investor attention, albeit to a lesser extent than Pandora. The top 5 also include Monarch (MNRCH) with a capitalization of $913,050 and Froggy Friends (TADPOLE) at $515,090, showing the diversity and potential of the new token standard in the market.

This new standard and its growing popularity underscore the cryptocurrency community's constant pursuit of innovation and new ways to use blockchain technologies to create value and improve user experience.
