A significant consequence of BlackRock's investment is the appointment of Joseph Chalom, the Global Head of Strategic Ecosystem Partnerships at BlackRock, to the Board of Directors of Securitize.

Earlier this year, BlackRock introduced its first tokenized fund, the BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity (BUIDL) Fund. In cooperation with Securitize, the fund underwent processes for transfer and tokenization. In the first week of its launch, BUIDL attracted an impressive $160 million.
