SubQuery Network, a Web3 infrastructure provider, has introduced two new decentralized RPCs for the Polkadot ecosystem. These RPCs mark a significant milestone as the first of their kind on Substrate-based networks, catering to Polkadot and Kusama. SubQuery's web3 infrastructure is utilized by almost 200 networks globally, comprising a network of decentralized indexers and RPC providers. This network eliminates the reliance on centralized control points, facilitating rapid and trustworthy access to blockchain data for decentralized applications (dapps). Teams developing on Polkadot and Kusama can now leverage SubQuery's decentralized RPC nodes for their projects.
James Bayly, the COO of SubQuery, expressed excitement about being the pioneer in offering decentralized RPCs for Polkadot within the SubQuery Network. With numerous node operators already managing RPCs and nodes across various ecosystems, SubQuery is well-suited to support Polkadot developers with their infrastructure needs.
The deployment of Polkadot RPCs for Kusama and the Polkadot relay chain is overseen by more than 30 independent Node Operators. These RPCs are vital for enabling efficient operations of blockchain projects and accessing data from diverse sources, underscoring the importance of decentralized RPCs.
Decentralized RPCs play a crucial role in data retrieval, smart contract interactions, and transaction submissions between blockchain nodes and external entities. By utilizing decentralized RPCs, dapps can operate autonomously without relying on centralized middleware and its associated risks. SubQuery Network's decentralized RPCs ensure secure and efficient web3 communication, supporting the reliable and transparent operations essential for the success of decentralized projects.
Initially designed as an indexer for Polkadot's multi-chain architecture, SubQuery has expanded its scope to encompass numerous networks, cementing its position as a key supporter of web3 data indexing within the blockchain ecosystem.
