Distributed startup ThirdFi, focusing on web3 infrastructure, has successfully secured $2 million in token funding from investors such as Chainlink, Techstars, and others. The company aims to enhance accessibility to decentralized finance through API integration. This funding will support ThirdFi's expansion into the growing blockchain artificial intelligence market, projected to reach $2.7 billion by 2031.
In an official announcement on Wednesday, the Singapore-based startup highlighted the financial backing from a consortium of backers including Techstars, Chainlink, Outlier Ventures, Alphabit Capital, and more. ThirdFi's latest funding round has significantly increased its fully diluted value to $20 million, attributing this growth to its diligent work over the past two years despite challenging market conditions.
Established in 2022, ThirdFi has cultivated a substantial user base exceeding 170,000 users. Through strategic partnerships with over 50 web3 communities and protocols, the startup has facilitated transactions exceeding $46 million on mainnet and layer-2 solutions.
ThirdFi's funding signifies a continued partnership with Chainlink, following the startup's involvement in the Chainlink BUILD program. This initiative aims to bolster the Chainlink network by offering participants priority technical support and access to new services, thereby reinforcing cryptoeconomic security through incentivized fees for Chainlink service providers.
Aside from its collaboration with Chainlink, ThirdFi offers API solutions across various blockchain networks including Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain (formerly Binance Smart Chain), Avalanche, Arbitrum, and Optimism. The company plans to integrate Solana, zkSync, and Base into its product offerings in the near future. Although no specific timeline has been disclosed for its token launch, ThirdFi anticipates a potential rollout in Q3 once audits are completed.
