The Binance exchange team reported on the completion of technical work with Ethereum wallets (ERC-20). On the morning of November 8, ETH storage temporarily restricted access to functions. It was reported that the work would not take more than 2 hours, but as a result, access was closed for 3 hours.
At the end of the update, all users were able to return to working with the ERC-20 currency of the Ethereum network.
After the announcement of the technical work, many participants began to discuss the possible reasons for this. Messages were on Twitter, flagging possible security issues on the exchange and a hacker attack. Allegedly, representatives of Binance decided to update the system.
Other participants noted that such procedures are the norm, take place regularly and do not portend any technical problems. Periodic updates help to improve the functionality and convenience when working with crypto assets.
Earlier it became known that Binance is working on the acquisition of the bank.
