American software architect Jack Dorsey has merged his Block company with miner designs under the Braiins brand. The goal - to create a new standard for Bitcoin mining. At the moment, the operation of the equipment is carried out on the Stratum protocol, which was launched 10 years ago.
Block and Braiins have teamed up to improve the protocol and add new features that will usher in a new era of mining.
On October 12, an alpha version was launched, which has improved security features and fixes the shortcomings of the current version of Stratum. Nowadays, miners are protected from the possibility of hacking and hashrate theft. The new protocol reduces the amount of data to be transferred. This increases the efficiency of sending them and makes it possible to install equipment in places with low-speed Internet.
Stratum V2 adds a proxy server that eliminates the need to connect directly to the pool. All connections are combined into one connection, which reduces the amount of consumed energy. The beta version is expected in November. Braiins analysts do not rule out that it could take years to develop the standard.
Previously, analysts have checked, researched and established several reasons that may affect the growth of the bitcoin hash rate.
