The Gate.io manager, as part of a conference at the blockchain week in Istanbul, announced plans to open a new GateTR site in Turkey. He believes that the adoption of cryptocurrency among Turkish residents is at a high level. In addition, according to analysts, in Turkey, about 8 million people are already somehow connected with the crypto sphere.

The new GateTR project will provide trading functionality for users. In particular, exchange for local currency and withdrawal of funds to bank accounts. Also, free transfer between Gate.io and GateTR clients will be available.

The test version of the project will be released in early 2023. It is worth noting that in the summer, Gate.io became a virtual asset storage service provider in Hong Kong, and also received licenses and access to leading crypto markets such as Malta, the United States and Dubai.
