The American company Visa, which provides services for conducting payment transactions, has sent several applications for trademarks that are associated with digital assets. Also, the team plans to work on the release of its own crypto-wallet and software for auditing blockchain networks.
The corporation has also shown interest in the NFT space by applying for a series of unique digital items. Visa has been interested in the blockchain space since 2014, following the meteoric rise of bitcoin.
Last year, Visa launched a feature to pay for payments by using USD Coin, as well as an NFT program to support digital assets. It is worth noting the acquisition of a unique NFT from the popular CryptoPunk collection.
The payment company previously entered into a contract with the FTX decentralized exchange. As a result of cooperation, cryptocurrency debit cards will be issued for customers from 40 countries.
Earlier, news came out that the Twitter social network was going to launch its own cryptocurrency wallet.
