What is Raydium?

Raydium(RAY) — an automated market maker (AMM) and liquidity provider, built on the Solana blockchain for the Serum decentralized exchange (DEX).

Information about the Raydium(RAY) project

The nature of automated market makers (AMMs) in Ethereum means that liquidity is fragmented and liquidity pools on one protocol are segregated from other pools. Without any central order book to aggregate across pools, competition between AMMs for liquidity is intense and users see no benefit from liquidity held on other platforms.

Unlike any other AMM, Raydium provides online liquidity for the central limit order book, which means that funds, deposited with Raydium, are converted into limit orders that are held in Serum's order books. This gives Raydium LP access to Serum's entire order flow as well as their existing liquidity.

The overall strategy, operations, product direction and business development of Raydium is led by AlphaRay. With a background in algorithmic stock trading, Alpha moved on to creating a market and providing liquidity for cryptocurrencies. XRay — Raydium's CTO and development team leader. The Raydium team has over twenty years of experience in market making, arbitrage and high-frequency trading in crypto and traditional markets.

Main features of RAY

The platform provides ecosystem-wide liquidity for users and projects. RAY — a native utility token.

How can you use the RAY token:

1 Staking to receive protocol fees
2 Staking for IDO allocation
3 Voting on the protocol decisions

Raydium determines whether an exchange in the liquidity pool or through the Serum order book will provide the best price for the user and takes action accordingly. Unlike any other AMM, Raydium provides intra-chain liquidity for a central limit order book, which means that Raydium LPs have access to Serum's entire order flow and liquidity.

Raydium aims to capture and maintain the leading position among AMMs and liquidity providers on Serum while leveraging Solana's power to grow decentralized finance (DeFi) and become the leading protocol in the field along with its partners and community. AcceleRaytor offers projects a simple three-step process to raise funds and increase liquidity on Raydium and Serum.

Where to buy Ray?

Raydium's swap feature allows you to quickly swap two tokens via Serum, while the DEX user interface also allows for more advanced trading features such as limit orders. This improves the trading experience for users. Currently, the token is traded on many cryptocurrency exchanges, some of them:

  • Raydium.io;
  • Gate.io;
  • FTX;

The total volume of the token is 555 million RAY.
