What is WEMIX?

Wemix - a blockchain ecosystem, focused on providing blockchain gaming and DApps infrastructure to operate without barriers such as high gas fees or slow transaction speeds. The developers claim to have solved these problems by using a mixture of private and public blockchain functions and connecting them with intermediate chains in a hybrid structure.

Description of Wemix

Wemix also claims to lower technological barriers for traditional game developers. It provides middleware that takes over the functionality of games and minimizes modifications to existing games. In addition, its solutions lower the financial barriers to entry into games, lowering development costs and simplifying the login experience that new users have to go through.

Its ultimate goal - to achieve the mass adoption of blockchain gaming while targeting the traditional gaming sector. Currently, the project has a billion gamers. In addition, the developers hope to provide solutions, designed for the gamers themselves, instead of the overly complex applications, currently available on the market.

Founded in 2000, Wemade has over 20 years of game development experience and has launched the following games: Icarus, Lost Saga, The Legend of Mir II, III, Avalon Online, Aster Online, Changchun Online, Wind Runner, Wind Runner Z, Icarus M, Candy Pang: Juicy World, Touch Fighter, Aero.

Project features

The Wemix ecosystem consists of several elements to achieve its ambitious goal of bringing blockchain games to the masses. At its core, Wemix is a multi-chain project that is not too different from public blockchains such as Avalanche (AVAX).

It consists of service chains, a public chain and a bridge chain, connecting them:

Service chains These are private blockchains that focus on processing bulk transactions quickly and seamlessly to avoid the gas fees, inherent in public blockchains. Wemix argues that providing a pleasant user experience should be a priority, and not unnecessarily record all in-game transactions on a public blockchain. At the same time, the project will be able to solve the problem of scalability of games and DApps, as it can regulate the number of required service chains.
Asset management The public chain will take on the role of the asset management chain in the Wemix ecosystem and handle all monetary transactions. Assets, generated in service chains, will eventually be tied to the public chain where trading takes place.
Bridge Chain It is an intermediate chain for easy transfer and comprehensive management of game assets. The assets that exist in the service chains will be connected to the public chain through a bridge chain. Once the desired transaction is completed, the assets can return to the appropriate service chain via the bridge chain. Wemix claims that this bridging chain is necessary to reduce congestion on other chains and achieve performance, comparable to the traditional client-server infrastructure, that games have used so far.

Other important entities in the company's ecosystem are trade delegates, which are a type of middleware that processes transactions on behalf of users and minimizes the burden a user faces when interacting with smart contracts.

Wemix also has its own wallet for the exchange between the WEMIX token and game tokens in service chains.WEMIX Token

Finally, binders are another type of middleware that facilitates the integration of existing games with blockchain processes. The binders transfer the necessary data from the existing game databases to the blockchains and generate the necessary transactions.

Buying and selling cryptocurrency

WEMIX serves as a trading vehicle for all activities on the platform. Users will be able to exchange in-game tokens from various games for WEMIX and vice versa, as well as use them to purchase in-game assets. The total supply of WEMIX is 1 billion and the distribution of tokens is as follows:

  • ecosystem (74%);
  • private sale (10%);
  • team and consultants (9%).

WEMIX is issued at a rate of 60 tokens per minute. The cryptocurrency is available on ZT, Gate.io, Bithumb, MEXC and Korbit. Wemix uses Klaytn, a South Korean project, as a public blockchain. Klaytn relies on an optimized version of the consensus mechanism, implementing PBFT with modifications to achieve the required characteristics of the blockchain network. In addition, Klaytn introduces proof of contribution, where participants in its token economy must make meaningful contributions to be eligible as validators.
