About Annex Finance
Each asset, supported by the Annex protocol, is integrated through the aToken contract, which is an EIP-20 compliant representation of the balances, granted to the protocol. By creating aToken tokens, users receive interest through the aToken exchange rate, which increases in value, compared to the underlying asset, and are able to use the tokens as collateral. aTokens are the primary means of interacting with the application protocol. When a user mints, redeems, borrows, repays a loan, liquidates a loan or transfers tokens, he will do so, using the aToken contract.
Some features:
| 1 | You can now tokenize your assets, using the Binance Smart Chain and receive portable AToken tokens that you can freely move to storage, transfer to other users, etc. |
| 2 | Use your AToken collateral to instantly borrow funds from the Annex protocol with no trading fees, no slippage and directly on the network. |
| 3 | The basic redeem function converts tokens to a specified amount of the underlying asset and returns them to the user. |
There are currently two types of aTokens: SErc20 and SEther. While both types provide an EIP-20 interface, SErc20 wraps the underlying ERC-20 asset and SEther just wraps Ether itself. Thus, the main functions that involve transferring an asset to a protocol have slightly different interfaces, depending on the type.
aTokens accumulates interest through its exchange rate - over time, each aToken becomes convertible into an increasing volume of its underlying asset, even if the amount of aToken in your wallet remains the same.
Additional information about the platform and aToken
Each aToken is visible on Etherscan and you should be able to view them in the list of tokens, associated with your address. AToken balances have been integrated into Coinbase Wallet and MetaMask. Other wallets may add support for tokens in the future. The site has a short description of the project. Also, an introductory document and WhitePaper are available.
