About the Bitcoin Standard Hashrate (BTCST) project

A significant barrier to participating in bitcoin mining - the limited number of exit options. The Bitcoin Standard Hash Token (“BTCST”) solves this problem by providing exchange-grade liquidity for bitcoin mining. Each BTCST is backed by 0.1 terahash per second (TH/s) bitcoin mining power. By staking BTCST, token holders will receive daily bitcoin distributions that match supplied mining power. Since the market price of BTCST is determined as the discounted cash flow of underlying mining power, BTCST will operate as a leveraged bitcoin token free of liquidation risk when secondary trading occurs.

BTCST will create an efficient market for bitcoin mining in ways, similar to how the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust creates institutional liquidity for bitcoin.Bitcoin Standard Hashrate (BTCST)

By standardizing and converting mining power to BTCST and listing the token for exchange trading, it is possible to provide exchange-level liquidity in the mining power market while meeting the needs of traders for access to mining.

Some features:

1 Each BTCST - a token, backed by a standardized unit of actual Bitcoin mining power.
2 Owning a token is legally and functionally equivalent to owning the underlying mining power.
3 Placing a token on the chain will entitle the staking holder to receive mining rewards.

BTCST creates an efficient market among bitcoin miners and those who want to become one. By trading BTCST, market participants are free to enter and exit mining of any size, at any time, and at low cost. Even miners without tokenized BTCST mining power can use the token to make a profit or hedge against mining machine price fluctuations.

More about defi app

The project acquires suitable bitcoin mining capacity on the open market through raised capital or retained earnings. BTCST, issued under the Acquisition Program, will be owned by the project itself. Under the contribution or acquisition program, the number of units of TH/s into which the contributed or received Bitcoin mining power can be standardized will be at least equal to the number of newly minted BTCSTs.
