About the Light Year project
Light Year brings to life the most daring experiments in space exploration. Players can freely mine natural resources, build spaceships, summon heroes, fight other players, trade with each other in the market and join alliances or nations. The developers believe that a sustainable gaming ecosystem requires a community that empowers both crypto enthusiasts and avid gamers.
Light Year goes beyond the traditional understanding of the DeFi staking and mining scheme and introduces a functional NFT system that serves as a medium for the interaction of many players. The site offers various combinations of strategies and playing styles. After a deeper understanding of the game mechanics, players are encouraged to formulate their own strategies to achieve various goals.
Light Year provides two game modes for two types of players - DeFi farmers and P2E players:
| 1 | By staking cryptoassets (like LP-Pancakeswap) in a staking pool, DeFi farmers can generate mining power. Once mining power is assigned to each individual mining object, DeFi farmers can mine each commodity token. |
| 2 | In order to explore the Light Year universe, players need to assemble a fleet to complete missions. The fleet is made up of starships that determine the performance rating of the fleet. P2E players can deploy fleets to complete different missions. |
DeFi farmers can maximize profits while P2E players can get rewards, based on their in-game performance. By consuming goods, players can upgrade various items in their base. These upgradeable items are managed in 3 tabs: Production, Research and Defense.
Burning tokens
Players can contribute commodity tokens to daily burned pools. Every day, each Commodity Token Burn Pool will release a fixed amount of LC to the players who deposited the token. The number of commodity tokens each player will receive will be proportional to their share in the pool (i.e., on a pro rata basis).
The Gold and Iron Burn Pool will release 1000 LC every day to its contributors. You share 0.1% of the gold burn pool and 0.05% of the iron burn pool. You will receive 1 and 0.5 LC from the gold and iron burn pool respectively.
