What is Metaple Finance?

Metaple Finance — a peer-to-peer system for exchanging cryptocurrencies (BEP-20 tokens) on Binance Smart Chain. The protocol is implemented as a set of permanent, non-updatable smart contracts.

How is Metaple Finance different from the regular market?

Metaple Finance uses an automated market maker (AMM) instead of an order book. At a high level, AMM replaces buy and sell orders in the order book market with a liquidity pool of two assets.

The advantages and disadvantages of automated market makers, compared to their traditional order book counterparts, are being actively explored by a growing number of parties.MetapleFinance

The second departure from traditional markets is the design of Metaple Finance. A permissionless design means that the protocol's services are completely open to public use, with no way to selectively restrict who can or cannot use them. Anyone can exchange, provide liquidity or create new markets at will.

Main advantages:

1. Exchange crypto tokens instantly: no registration or account are required.
2. Metaple is powered by BNB Smart Chain, a blockchain with much lower transaction costs than Ethereum or Bitcoin. Trading fees are also lower than other leading decentralized exchanges, so it's a double win for you.
3. Trade directly from the wallet app. Unlike centralized exchanges like Binance or Coinbase, Metaple doesn't hold your funds when you trade: you own your cryptocurrency in full.

Its liquidity pools allow you to provide liquidity by adding your tokens to liquidity pools, or "LPs". When you add your token to a liquidity pool (LP), you receive Flip tokens (project version of liquidity provider tokens). The number of FLIP tokens you receive represents your portion of the MLX-BNB liquidity pool. You can also redeem your funds at any time by removing your liquidity. Whenever someone trades MLX, the trader pays a fee of 0.2%, of which 0.17% is added to the liquidity pool of the swap pair they traded.

Staking pools

Staking involves locking up assets to participate in proof-of-stake blockchain transaction verification with a financial “reward”, provided in the form of various tokens. This offers an alternative to digital assets for generating income in today's environment of low or negative interest rates. After you stake MLX tokens, you will receive MLX-POS tokens as proof tokens, you can stake them again to get some MLX staking rewards.
