Popcorn — a new decentralized finance paradigm where revenue-generating products simultaneously contribute to social impact.

By creating new, revenue-generating DeFi products where a small fee is charged and shared with public benefit organizations, the public good can be put at the very core of a decentralized finance protocol without any additional friction or extraordinary costs at the end.
Popcorn Governance Token (POP) holders can nominate and select beneficiaries through a multi-stage proposal process. Firstly, the beneficiary must be nominated and accepted by the POP owners. Once a beneficiary is accepted, a grant can be awarded through a separate voting process. Organizations, wishing to apply for beneficiary status, can contact the Popcorn Foundation for free advice.
Popcorn Foundation — an organization, dedicated to accelerating the development of Popcorn smart contracts, encouraging decentralization, engaging beneficiaries and ensuring that the values of the Popcorn Foundation's charter are upheld by all beneficiaries. Popcorn will be resistant to Sybil attacks by implementing privacy-preserving identity verification for online voting. Work is carried out by using services such as BrightID or other specialized Oracle solutions.
