999punks — the merest collection of NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain since CryptoPunks. The smart contract is stored securely on the Ethereum blockchain with the exact attributes and unique art traits of each character.
An initiative of the Cryptopunks project was implemented by two Canadian software developers. It has grown from a fair launch in 2017 to a multi-million dollar art project. The NFT (Non Fungible Token) format was used in the digitization of works of art to meet the classical requirements for art regarding the verification of ownership, storage, copyright and non-fungibility.
A non-fungible token (NFT) - a unique and non-fungible unit of data, stored in a digital ledger (blockchain). NFTs can be associated with easily reproducible items such as photos, videos, audio and other types of digital files.
Copies of the original file are not limited by the NFT owner and can be copied and shared like any other file. The lack of fungibility distinguishes NFTs from blockchain cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.
At the moment, there are no White Paper and RoadMap on the site. The developers provide a section with answers to questions and a brief description on the main page.
