Autoglyphs — the first on-chain generating art on the Ethereum blockchain. They are a completely autonomous mechanism for creating and owning art.

How does the Autoglyphs work?
Autoglyphs — an experiment in generative art, each is unique and created by code on the Ethereum blockchain. A glyph can be created by anyone, willing to donate a creation fee to a charity of choice. The creator of the glyph will also become the first owner of the object. However, once 512 symbols have been created, the generator will shut down permanently and the symbols will only be available on the secondary market.
Some features:
| 1 | While ERC-721 is a standard for “non-fungible tokens,” it helps to manage ownership of digital items, stored elsewhere. |
| 2 | The key difference between autoglyphs - the art is inside the contract itself, it is "art on the blockchain" literally. |
| 3 | This will become apparent if you examine any transaction of the glyph creation on the blockchain. |
These events contain the complete output of the generator and, therefore, the drawing itself. It doesn't look like hex data, but it encodes a character drawing. This template can be drawn on the screen or even on paper by following the written instructions in the comments to the smart contract itself.
350.org accepts Ethereum donations and their address (0x50990F09d4) can be verified on their website page. Thus, every autoglyph that you create for yourself, you also donate to a good cause easily and transparently. Each Autoglpyh is unique and is created for its buyer, using an algorithm, built into the Ethereum blockchain.
