Creepts - the world's first decentralized tower defense tournament. It is built on top of a blockchain solution that is available as open source software. Creepts are currently being played on the Rinkeby Ethereum testnet. Contents:

Description of Creepts
In Creepts, players compete against each other to see who can score the most points on the in-game Tower Defense map in real time. Players join the tournament by transferring their records and game moves to the blockchain, with negligible cost. The game's smart contracts then decide who wins the tournament.
A session of the Creepts game involves the computation of billions of program instructions. The platform can use its game logic entirely off-chain while maintaining strong safety guarantees and decentralization of the underlying blockchain.
How to play?
To play the game, the player must point their web browser to Creepts. The platform client then interacts with the Cartesi contracts on the blockchain on behalf of the player. In the future, players will be able to play Creepts by pointing their browsers to a trusted remote Crypts, without having to download and install anything themselves. What to do next:
| Tournament | After the player points his web browser, he sees several available tournaments. |
| Game | The player can play the Creepts Tower Defense of that tournament without actually participating in the multiplayer competition. The game runs entirely on the client side, in the player's own browser, since the game is written in Typescript. |
| Register | Whenever the player finishes playing on the Krypts tournament map, his Cartesi node automatically transmits to the blockchain a safe hash of their gameplay, which is a log file that lists all actions they have taken. |
If no player participates in a given tournament, none of the players wins it. When only one player joins the tournament, he wins it by default.
Platform advantages
It becomes more and more clear what problems are hindering its spread:
- usability - the development and use of a blockchain application is still a daunting task, including a very difficult learning curve and, therefore, reducing the overall interest in the technology significantly;
- scalability - to be able to compete with it, blockchains must work in the same way as centralized technologies.
It is a project that solves these two problems simultaneously, creating an infrastructure that is scalable and compatible with proven technologies at the same time. Moreover, the company is rich in updates. As the developers write on Twitter, they will release development videos and discuss everything, related to the concept of the platform's development, in the coming weeks. White paper will appear. While it is not there, you can ask any question in the platform's telegram channel. And the last update is an increase in the accepted tokens on the platform.
