Brief description of the Ethereum DAV project
Using the platform, drivers and passengers can communicate directly with each other, with no intermediary, involved in the revenue. Access convenient transportation around your city or offer services such as payment and parking.
Thanks to blockchain technology, a verifiable ledger of historical data is available from service providers, manned or autonomous vehicles and users, required by insurers and third parties. A completely decentralized system that is not controlled by any government, bank or company. In addition, there is a global payment standard between vehicles and their supporting infrastructure. A built-in contract allows for trusted collaboration between multiple vehicles and service providers.

DAV — an open source software framework with a free decentralized marketplace where anyone can buy and sell autonomous transportation services.
The technology consists of three main components:

Through decentralized discovery, DAV allows autonomous vehicles to discover each other as well as service providers and the customers around them. DAV implements decentralized node discovery, using a peer-to-peer protocol that is independent of a central server.
The project defines a library of standardized communication protocols for various transport scenarios. This message is divided into two groups:
- communication on the blockchain is carried out directly by calling smart contracts and through events, generated by these smart contracts;
- communication outside the unit, performed by using the DAV protocols.
Reliable cooperation between buyers and sellers of transport services is available through a series of specialized smart contracts. They have a direct connection to the DAV token, guaranteeing the financial resolution of transactions between multiple parties without any pre-established trust.
