Gelato allows anyone to leverage the power of a decentralized bot network to automate the movement of their money between different protocols on Ethereum. The vision for the future - to become the backbone of automated smart contract execution on every smart contract platform, focused on reliability, decentralization and developer friendliness.

Description of the Gelato project
Gelatо — a protocol for automating the execution of smart contracts on Ethereum. Although smart contracts are sometimes described as “running logic autonomously,” their actual execution is far from automatic.
Why should you trust this project:
| Payment with ERC20 or ETH tokens | The platform accepts various ERC20 tokens as payment for transactions. The payment method for bots is very flexible: either you make a prepayment in ETH or users pay the cost of the transaction itself. |
| Reliability and redundancy | Gelato consists of many globally distributed node operators that make sure your transactions are executed no matter what. |
| Automate arbitrary logic of smart contracts | Gelato can execute arbitrary logic, which allows you to automate any smart contract function in Ethereum. The possible use cases are endless. |
Instead of you, as a developer, running your own centralized bot that performs these transactions on behalf of your users, you can outsource this overhead to the Gelato Executor Network. This network consists of several bots that are constantly working, listening for new tasks.
This means that you will no longer be the central point of failure and responsibility for when your bot crashes, while enjoying all tools and out-of-the-box automation use cases that the gelato community has already built.
