What is Macabris?

Macabris — a non-fungible token (NFT) on the Ethereum blockchain. Each token is unique and represents a specific celebrity. The owner of each token receives a share of the monthly payment from the distribution pool as long as the corresponding celebrity is alive. Since the total monthly payments are fixed, each token receives an incremental payout.

Description of the Macabris project

Macabris — Tontine's first NFT cryptocurrency: a group annuity with a death lottery. The token holder receives an increasing monthly payment as long as the corresponding celebrity is alive. Tontine - a capital-raising investment plan, developed in the 17th century and relatively widespread in the 18th and 19th centuries. Tontine allows subscribers to share the risk of a long life by combining the functions of a group annuity with a kind of death raffle. Each subscriber contributes the agreed amount to the fund, after which he receives periodic payments.

When members die, their entitlements to payments transfer to other members, and, therefore, the value of each ongoing payment increases.Macabris

Macabris runs on the Ethereum ERC-721 Non-Fungible Token (NFT) standard. A total of 7,250 unique tokens are presented, each of which represents a specific celebrity. The number of tokens is fixed.

All tokens, meeting two criteria, will receive an equal share of the monthly payout:

1. The token is sold during ICO processes (i.e. disclosed).
2. The respective celebrity is marked as living at the time of payout.

Funds in the distribution pool come from two sources: the initial token sale and the trading commission from subsequent token sales. During the ICO, 80% of the funds from the sold tokens will go to the distribution pool. The commission for transferring a token from wallet to wallet - 5%, 2.5% of which goes to the distribution pool. The rest of the commission goes to the developer pool. Over time, when tokens are exchanged between wallets, the distribution pool will grow accordingly, which means monthly payments.
