Omen — an information marketplace platform on the Ethereum blockchain. Users can create and / or participate in information markets on various topics (crypto, politics, sports, etc.) and place bets on possible outcomes. The oracle provider verifies the outcome then and the users, holding the shares of the correct outcome, collect the crypto that is held as collateral. In the event of a dispute, an arbitrator may be called to make a decision.

Brief description of the Omen platform
The information market is the place where tokens are bought and sold, representing the potential outcomes of an event. When an event occurs, the market pays the holders the result that happened actually.
When creating a market, you can customize its functions, including: results and initial probabilities, additional token, resolution date, category, arbiter. Information markets, sometimes called prediction markets or decision-making markets, are a means of aggregating financially supported sentiment about the expected outcome of a future event.
Types of markets:
| Opened | The market that is currently being traded. |
| Closed | The market that passed the earliest approval date. |
| Allowed | The market, where the oracle established the winning outcome (s) for the markets. |
To use the platform, you will need Metamask or Wallet Connect, some ETH to execute transactions, and the collateral token of the market you want to participate in. If you do not already have this token, you can exchange it on the Mesa.eth exchange. You can see your balance of the score in the Omen user interface.
Additional information
There is a 2% trading fee payable when buying market shares (in addition to Ethereum gas fees per transaction). These trading fees go to liquidity providers.
