Spunks: history of origin
The project runs, thanks to a visual and generative artist Spongenuity, using 0x_b1. This is one of the projects that creates new art on the blockchain. In February 2021, an anonymous developer copied the LarvaLabs file - the cryptobank code and placed it on the Binance smart chain without changing a single pixel of the artwork. This is the simplest form of art theft.
0x_b1 has teamed up with Spongenuity to offer a collection of 10,000 generative art that will go to anyone who destroyed copies of the original punks. The project began to unfold after an incredible amount of work on the part of the artist and developer. The piece of art is certainly a story from caterpillar to butterfly. Bunks and Punks are 24x24 pixel art, 8-bit image.

| 1. | Sрunks implements two smart contracts: one for the NFT itself, and the other for claiming these NFTs. |
| 2. | It was very important to the creators of this NFT that it has a provenance that guarantees the legal order of the images. |
| 3. | Each full-resolution image of the project is first hashed, using the SHA-256 algorithm. The combined string is obtained by concatenating the SHA-256 of each image in the corresponding specific order. |
The final proof is obtained by hashing this combined SHA-256 string. This is the final lineage record, stored in the smart contract. Spunks brings a totally unique feel to the NFT space, providing original portraits and attributes, painted by Spongenuity.
The project team has announced:
- full ownership of the intellectual property of all project owners;
- community awards for completing the simplest and most difficult tasks;
- farm / staking, where both Spunks and Bunk Bunk stakers get rewards.
