DWorld — a decentralized reserve currency protocol, available on the Fantom network, based on the OBOL token. Each OBOL token is backed by a basket of assets (e.g. USDC tokens, OBOL-FTM LP, etc.) in the DWorld treasury, giving it an intrinsic value below which it cannot fall. DWorld also brings economic and game-theoretic dynamics to the market through staking and mining.

About the DWorld project
The goal of DWorld — to create a currency system, controlled and built into the FTM network, where the behavior of the OBOL token is controlled at a high level by the DAO. The developers believe that in the long term, this system can be used to optimize stability and consistency so that OBOL can function as a global unit of account and medium-of-exchange currency. In the short term, the team intends to optimize the system for growth and wealth creation.
Market participants have two main strategies: staking and mining:
| 1 | Stakers stake their OBOL tokens in exchange for more OBOL tokens. |
| 2 | Miners provide LP tokens or USDC tokens in exchange for discounted OBOL tokens after a fixed vesting period. |
More about coin defi staking
Staking — the main strategy for accumulating value in DWorld. Stakers stake their OBOL tokens on the DWorld website to earn rebasing rewards.
Betting is a passive, long-term strategy. Increasing your stake in OBOL means an ever-decreasing underlying value approaching zero. This means that even if the market price of OBOL falls below the initial purchase price, given a sufficiently long staking period, the increase in the OBOL staking balance should eventually outpace the fall in price.
