HIVE uses 2 cryptocurrencies: HIVE and HBD. These tokens can be bought and sold on third party websites, called exchanges (binance, bittrex, blocktrades, etc.). When you use PeakD to post on the HIVE blockchain, other sites will be able to display and interact with that content. HIVE users can still vote and leave comments, using alternative interfaces.
