As a result, only the most positive, innovative and bizarre stories are heard, often misinterpreted by mainstream media as “fake news”.
STEMsocial offers a new approach. Developers provide a space among a thriving global community of like-minded people where experts and passionate STEM bloggers alike can freely share their knowledge in a social media environment that actively promotes and rewards fair, reliable and high-quality content.
Inspired by the scientific method itself, STEM social offers a three-tiered peer review system for each promoted publication:
| 1 | Curators first read, review and determine the level of social support for STEM posting. This is always checked by a second curator. |
| 2 | Team members scrutinize the actions of the curators, removing rewards from other necessary actions when decisions are wrong in some way. |
| 3 | All supported content is open to the public, who can further investigate and take any necessary action against any misleading or fraudulent content that has been passed through. |
