About the Mimoswap v2 project
The first instance of the mimo protocol will be mimo.exchange, a decentralized exchange (DEX) for peer-to-peer trading of ERC20 and XRC20 assets. mimo.exchange supports trading of any XRC20 tokens, including ERC20 tokens, transferred via ioTube. Any resources, supported on ioTube, can be added to mimo in no time. Anyone can use mimo to trade and / or provide liquidity for a variety of trading pairs, including IoTeX-Ethereum cross-border pairs such as IOTX / ioBUSD.
There are three main categories of mimo users:
| Traders | buy and sell cryptocurrencies (through the "Swap" tab). |
| Liquidity provider | invest assets in smart contracts to receive rewards for mining liquidity (through the "Pool" tab). |
| Developers | Connect mimo to other dApps or services for instant sharing, lending / borrowing and other DeFi use cases. |
At the heart of mimo - a set of verifiable, non-renewable smart contracts, each of which manages a “liquidity pool” of internal reserves of IOTX / XRC20 tokens. Instead of the centralized order book, used by traditional cryptocurrency exchanges, mimo uses an automated market maker (AMM) smart contract to price and manage reserves.
To access mimo, you must have an IoTeX address. You can create through ioPay, the official IoTeX wallet for desktop and mobile. With ioPay open, open the mimo app and connect your wallet. On the Swap tab, you can view swap rates for different trading pairs and make deals by signing up with your ioPay wallet.
