0xBitcoin (MATIC) — an implementation of Bitcoin in Solidity and the first ERC20 decentralized token for Ethereum and Polygon. This is an open source community project that is not led by an official team or corporation and, therefore, does not have ICO capital or other huge amounts of currency / capital that a centralized token project would have.

About the development of the 0xBitcoin (MATIC) project
0xBitcoin is intended to be used as a decentralized token in the Polygon ecosystem and beyond. It avoids centralization and security issues as it runs on blockchain and globally distributed anonymous miners. Since it follows a standard protocol (ERC20), it is stored in a traditional wallet and transferred, using standard software that supports EIP20 / ERC20 tokens.
Some features:
| 1 | Since each token has been mined in a completely decentralized manner, there is no central authority or central organization that oversees or enforces any aspect of 0xBitcoin. |
| 2 | The decentralized app owns and manages the token in a flat structure and each person has the same power over the smart contract as any other person. |
| 3 | The 0xBitcoin name comes from the combination of the name of the decentralized and mined commodity Bitcoin with the "0x" term. |
The asset is decentralized, permissionless, mined and scarce, just like Bitcoin, which means it shares all of the use cases and properties of Bitcoin as a transparent and permanent digital record of value. However, 0xBitcoin has the speed and scalability of the Polygon network.
Since 0xBitcoin is mined like Bitcoin, it acts like a commodity. The difficulty of "mining" this commodity automatically adjusts to the total computing power, used to extract it.
