Farm is one of the key drivers of the DeFi ecosystem, and the liquidity, provided by users, helps protocols to innovate by creating new features for the benefit of the entire community.
A farmer opens a leveraged income farming position in a trading pair by borrowing NEAR from storage and joining a leveraged pool. The participant earns a higher profit due to the larger share, but pays a 10% premium for the privilege of using the borrowed funds.
The liquidator bot keeps track of all profitable farming positions, liquidating those that become too risky. If a leveraged income farming position does liquidate, 5% of the position fee enters the protocol and is distributed to those who staked the PEM token.
PEM token
PEM - the native token that helps Pembrok Finance function. It is used:
- To stake in the financial ecosystem with rewards, paid in PEM.
- As an added bonus for those who provide funds to liquidity pools.
- To participate in the DAO - users can stake PEM to receive xPEM, a governance token.
10% interest income from loans and farm interest, as well as 5% commission, charged when a position is liquidated, are distributed to PEM holders who staked on the protocol. You can currently purchase the $PEM token on Ref Finance, but it will roll out gradually over subsequent periods, giving people more ways to participate in Pembrok Finance.
