ONS: Oasis Name Service is designed to create easy to remember and readable names for your Oasis (Emerald ParaTime) address, like "Alex.ons" instead of "0xf39...2296". You can transfer or exchange assets by simply entering a registered domain name instead of a long and unreadable address. Your domain will be your Emerald ParaTime username.
ONS: Oasis Name Service — a feature of the Oasis Name Service that allows you to register your domain name as an NFT. This allows you to easily move your domain to wherever you want or put it up for sale.
ONS replaces manually operated and controlled systems with automated smart contracts, based on Oasis Emerald ParaTime. This means there is no admin authority and only the owner of the name has control. All ONS names are NFT compliant with ERC721, which means that each domain name is unique. You can easily transfer your domain to wherever you want or easily list it for sale on your favorite marketplace.
You can own any number of domains, but you can only use one of them as your primary domain. The primary domain - your wallet address and is used as the primary username in Emerald ParaTime. You can change your primary domain as many times as you like.
