By the Day of March 8, Binance has introduced unique cryptocurrency fragrances specifically for women

Mar 6, 2024

In honor of International Women's Day, the Binance crypto exchange team has launched a lively campaign encouraging women to take up cryptocurrency, inspired... the fragrance.

"We believe that the goal of this campaign is to show courage, have fun and push the boundaries," said Rachel Conlan, Binance's marketing director.

Although there will always be those who remain dissatisfied, we are confident that our initiative will start the discussion in the right direction. A women's team took part in its development.

Binance yesterday announced a new fragrance containing the words HODL, DYOR (do your research), as well as YOLO (live once) and LFG (let's go), which are popular in the crypto community.

The "CRYPTO" fragrance, which is also known as "Eau de Binance", "begins with refreshing notes of ozone, salt and moss, reminiscent of a fresh and invigorating breeze. The heart notes reveal a luxurious combination of oud, mandarin and precious woods, while the base notes of amber and musk create a warm, musky-sweet and earthy fragrance radiating sophistication."

Binance has released about 100 bottles of perfume that are not actually for sale - women can "feel" the fragrance in pop-up windows in a shopping mall in Bahrain. It is assumed that women will be attracted by the opportunity to imagine a fragrance.

"We really wanted to play with emotions," Conlan said. - We are interested in the first impression of the first step into cryptocurrency.

The main goal of the campaign by March 8 is that the first 5,000 women who complete the course for beginners at Binance Academy will earn $25 in USDT.

"We are convinced that this will make the industry a better place. The more women we attract to the professional field, the more products will be developed taking into account the interests of men and women," added Conlan.

Despite the fact that more and more women are joining the industry, according to the Boston Consulting Group, only 7% of the founders of web3 are women, and only 27% of the employees of leading crypto startups are women. This gender imbalance is also typical for crypto investors.
