Promoted as the pioneering effort of a significant mobile game producer to craft a crypto game from scratch, Zynga, a subsidiary of Take-Two, revealed its Ethereum-oriented game "Sugartown" in August.

In a short span of approximately three weeks, over a thousand Oras - the game's access tokens, racked up a trading volume surpassing 3,000 ether (valued around $5 million), as per the statistics from OpenSea. This impressive revenue emerges even as the NFT market observes a substantial dip in activity and trader engagement.

OpenSea indicates that the minimum price for Oras currently hovers around $430.

Last year, Take-Two, the creative force behind the renowned "Grand Theft Auto" series, took over Zynga. Zynga gained massive acclaim for its hit game FarmVille. Come August, both companies jointly declared "Sugartown" as their introductory venture into the realm of web3 gaming.

Though initially there was talk of releasing 10,000 tokens as a primary offer, the actual number of NFTs released the previous month was 6,000, based on OpenSea's records. These NFTs were launched on Sept. 13, as noted in an update on X.

The game integrates Oras, an Ethereum-based (or ERC-721) token, enabling players to step into “Sugartown” and "collect energy". This mechanism permits players to accumulate "an in-game currency," as previously shared by the companies.
