The President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, confirmed his intention to continue to purchase one bitcoin (BTC) daily.
In November 2022, Bukele announced a dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) strategy for his country, committing to purchase one bitcoin daily as part of a cryptocurrency support policy.
Despite initial criticism from various international financial organizations due to the instability of the cryptocurrency market, this decision proved to be strategically successful. The recent rise in bitcoin prices has brought significant profits to the country, and President Bukele confirmed El Salvador's intention to follow the DCA strategy in the future.
El Salvador's bitcoin portfolio is 5,690 coins, taking into account previous purchases and income from BTC received from various sources, including citizenship by investment programs.
Bukele's words are consistent with the sentiments of major investors. In recent weeks, Bitcoin whales have sought to increase their holdings. According to the data of the Santiment analytical platform, over the past five weeks, wallets with a balance of 10 to 10,000 BTC have purchased 154,160 coins worth $ 10.6 billion.
During this period, MicroStrategy completed the acquisition of 12,000 BTC in the amount of $ 821 million through debt financing, while actively working to expand the existing reserve of 205,000 bitcoins.
